PETER
Very special ? What is o special in this ? I agree that it is from the olden times , but nothing special .
GREY
How could you say that ? There's a story behind it (says softly) ... My grandfather MR. FOX , was QUEEN VICTORIA's accounts personnel . He had handled her accounts so well that the queen gifted him this clock which was very close to her heart .
PETER
(wonders) QUEEN VICTORIA ! Just splendid . (Out of excitement) I would like to buy it from you . I am ready to pick this up for 3500 dollars .
GREY
You will give it me 5000 dollars , when you will listen two more facts about it . This alarm feature is not working right now as it has become very old , but every Christmas night you can hear a bell ringing from the clock .
PETER
What ? Bells ringing every Christmas ! Wait ... Wait ... Take these 5000 dollars and give it to me .

PETER
Hey wise man ! Please wait . (He waits) I want to share something with you . May I ?
GENTLEMAN
Yes you can . Anything serious ?
PETER
(with hesitation) Actually the thing that the clock rings bells on Christmas is false . I didn't mean anything but ....
GENTLEMAN
But what ? Want to say something ?
PETER
Actually a young little poor boy had sold me this few years back .... He fooled me and I don't know how I got fooled by him , he was incredibly smart . But trust me this clock has proved highly lucky for me and hence I never sold it and today since I'm in my last years I thought of selling it . I only wanted to confess you the truth .
GENTLEMAN
Haha , the truth which I already know . And what about the second fact ? Don't you know that ?
PETER
(With a surprised look) How do you know about the second fact ? It's only known to me and the young boy . That means ( with tears )
GENTLEMAN
Yes uncle ! I am that poor little boy , your smart guy , GREY !
[ PETER could not control his emotions and hugged GREY ]
PETER
Dear , you have been so lucky for me . The clock you sold to me , was really fortunate . My business went up with a high graph and my life became stable . I was free from all kind of debts and started a wonderful life . I kept the clock the whole life but then I had to sell it off now for my last days and I really apologize that I could not preserve it .
GREY
Why being sorry UNCLE ? Rather I must apologize for fooling you . And this clock was a trash I found it on a roadside and trust me it really proved lucky for me too . I am standing all because of the 5000 dollars you gave me for it , that time .
PETER
But , What was the cause ? Why did you do so ?
GREY
UNCLE , my father was a poor labourer and a drunkard . I had lost my mother as soon I was born. I was brought up by my grandma , who had aldo gone when I was 4 . I had to lead a miserable life . Though my father nurtured me well , I had my own ambitions also. When I was 12 I came to know about magazine business and for that I needed around 4000 dollars for investment purpose . I could only get the amount in a crooked way and that was what made me do that to you. Situation was everything . And due to that amount , I started my magazine shop and now I am the owner of the leading book seller " THE WORDS OF ENGLAND " .
PETER
Oh jesus ! I am talking to one of the successful entrepreneurs of the age . Come let's have a coffee sir .
GREY
Sir ? You are bringing shame to me . Don't call me sir . That's just how the clock and your dollars made me .
PETER
This is one of the best experiences in my whole life . How beautiful is the cycle of fortune !
GREY
UNCLE , I will have to take your leave now as I am lined up with a meeting . Keep this card , feel free to call me anytime you need any help , I will be there . Good Bye and Take care !
PETER
(louder) And what about the second truth about the clock ?
[ GREY just winked his eye with a great smile and sat in the car which was already waiting there for him ]
