THE ENIGMA

It was a dark night around 11 pm when Duke , an owner of a factory went to his factory to load his products . Duke took his 15 year old son along with him so as to help him in the process as there were no labourers in the night . They did set all the products where they had to be placed . Then they had a stock check and decided to return . Until Duke made calculations , his son Zyan picked up a metal detector and just with the intention to play he swiped it over the floor . The detector started ringing as if it had detected the presence of metal under the floor . The sound was more intense this time than the normal one . Duke thought that since it sounded very intensely , there must be something really huge under the floor. He felt there may be some treasure buried inside the ground by some ancestors or anyone . Without even thinking once , he stated digging the floor . He dug and dug and after an hour her coukd see a big iron door . He thought there was something great . He , wi...

BLAMELESS

We were sitting in a cafe and just to our adjacent table I could spot a family i.e. father , mother and their kid . Out of uncontrollable emotions I cried out with flooding tears . I don't know what happened at that instance but it was heart touching moment to see the mother feeding her 6 years old kid . Yes , I missed my mother at that time . Sheela was very confused with my kind of behaviour as she had not seen me crying ever since we were together . We met in our office and soon were going to get tied up forever , as she was the only one for me in the world . In order to control my emotions Sheela asked , " Sarang , What is the thing ? Why are you crying ? " . No sooner I spotted a toy gun in the kid's hand on the next table . He pointed the gun at his mother's chest and shouted , "Dishkyaun !". I could not control myself and I went to their table and yelled at the kid for doing something which I felt was wrong . Though it was a mere fun act for the ...

THE PRECIOUS HARVEST (Sci-Fi version)

It was post summer and I had to go to the next town to attend the wedding of one of my friend's (Samar) brother , Karan .  Few of my other friends , Raj , Lavanya and I decided to go to that wedding together. Samar was a Rajput from Rajasthan and none of us had ever visited any Rajputana wedding. We had heard from Samar that it was going to be a grand wedding , probably we wouldn't have attended before . We went to the wedding destination and all our thoughts were broken . The wedding was so peaceful that we thought as if we came for a funeral . The place was decorated impressively , but the aura didn't make it feel like it was a wedding . We sensed that something wrong had happened during the wedding. We decided not to go further and call Samar outside to ask what the issue was . We called Samar and he narrated the thing to us . Samar said that his brother had promised his fiancĂ©e , Kirti  that he would get her a diamond studded gown for the reception . But his brother f...

THE PRECIOUS HARVEST ( Non-Fiction)

It was post summer when we had left for the wedding ceremony of the sister of one of my close friends . It was me , Samar (my friend) , Kirti (Samar's sister whose wedding it was) , Pia (Samar's cousin) , Samar's Mom and Dad and two of our other friends , Lavanya and Raj ; who had decided to go to the destination a week prior , for making arrangements . The wedding destination was Samar's own native i.e. Pali in Rajasthan , around 60 kms away from Jodhpur town . We boarded a train from Mumbai that night and were supposed to reach the destination next morning and looked forward to catch a bus from Jodhpur to Pali which was a journey of about 2 hours . We reached Jodhpur and caught the bus for Pali early morning by around 7 am . Jodhpur was more like a city and while travelling to Pali we could easily notice the changes in various aspects say topography , climate , lifestyle and many other factors . It was very new for Lavanya , Raj and I as we were the first time visito...
