THE PRECIOUS HARVEST (Sci-Fi version)

It was post summer and I had to go to the next town to attend the wedding of one of my friend's (Samar) brother , Karan .  Few of my other friends , Raj , Lavanya and I decided to go to that wedding together. Samar was a Rajput from Rajasthan and none of us had ever visited any Rajputana wedding. We had heard from Samar that it was going to be a grand wedding , probably we wouldn't have attended before . We went to the wedding destination and all our thoughts were broken . The wedding was so peaceful that we thought as if we came for a funeral . The place was decorated impressively , but the aura didn't make it feel like it was a wedding . We sensed that something wrong had happened during the wedding. We decided not to go further and call Samar outside to ask what the issue was . We called Samar and he narrated the thing to us . Samar said that his brother had promised his fiancée , Kirti  that he would get her a diamond studded gown for the reception . But his brother failed to get her one as he couldn't manage it from anywhere and now the bride isn't ready for the wedding . She had declared that she won't marry until and unless she gets the diamond studded gown as promised by Karan . Also Karan's in-laws had said that they won't force their daughter for the wedding as she was the only daughter to them and they had to keep her heart . Samar appeared very tensed and explained us the fact with tears . Listening to the story , we got mad over Karan's fiancée but since Karan had promised her and breaking promises was illegal , they all were helpless. We decided to do something to help the Rao family and make happen Karan and Kirti's wedding. But then the main question before us was , "How to get so much of diamonds for the whole gown?" . Thinking for a while Raj exclaimed , "So much of diamonds won't be even existing on earth , how can we get them ?" . To this I replied , " Oh then I guess we have to go to another planet for getting diamonds" . We all laughed considering it a joke but then Lavanya remembered something amazing that she had read . " Oh Guys ! I've read that it rains diamonds on Neptune . What if we plan of something like this ?", says Lavanya . We exclaimed that it was an amazing proposition and it was the only source from where we could get so much of diamonds. Samar interrupts , " Guys , you don't stress yourself , we would find some other way out ! ". " Come on Sam ! You're our best friend . You've helped us so many times . Now it's our time to repay the debt . Though Neptune is too far , going there isn't so difficult" , said Raj . Samar replied , "Going there won't be difficult but only few had gone there till now and it would be a bit expensive " . Lavanya said , " Don't worry Samar , you go in . Be with your family . And anyhow handle the situation for an hour or two .  Rest we'll handle . We'll get back soon " . Samar went in thanking us . Raj suggested that his uncle worked with a rocket company and he would help us go to Neptune . Raj called his uncle and enquired about the thing and his uncle was all fine to send us there but he had asked few of his companions to come there with us .It was very strange that Raj's uncle got ready to send us there without any thought  , though he charged some expense . I had doubt on Raj's uncle , Raghu that something was fishy , but we were stuck on helping Samar and we getting to go there was more than enough for us .

Raghu was ready with government NOC and space station surveillance passes . We were all set to bump in the rocket and take off for Neptune . We took about 3 months to reach Neptune while it was only 30 mins over the earth due to the difference in time phase . We went there but unfortunately it was not raining diamonds at all . Raghu's companions were very angry over us as we wasted the journey but I could still see them cunning and wicked . Something definitely was fishy ! We had left with no option than praying to the almighty . Suddenly Lavanya remembered that she had also read that lighting up fire on Neptune can get the diamond rain .

For a good fortune , we could easily find flintstones over there. We wasted no time and lighted fire there and what a miracle ! It started raining ; yes ! Raining diamonds ! It was mystical to see . We thought that we were dreaming , but no ! The diamond rain on Neptune is as true as rabbit sanctuary on the moon , unicorns on the pole star and dense red forest over Mars . We collected all the diamonds we could get from the place we had landed and a few miles around . Raghu's companions did not even touch a single diamond so as to collect them . It was like they were not interested in them or else warned by someone to not collect them . But yes we did our work and we were back on the earth after around one and a half hour of the earth . We were successful in our venture but still I had a doubt about Raghu in my mind .

Well we were happy to let Samar know that his brother's wedding was actually going to happen and we had got the required amount of diamonds . Samar announced the thing to everyone and all the Rajputana joy came out as soon as the bride was ready for the ceremony after stitching the desired gown .We could then experience the real vibes of Rajasthani weddings . Though I had a doubt over Raghu in my mind but , the jubilation helping someone and making the wedding wedding had super imposed the doubt . So this was how we had harvested the most precious thing ever and help two lovers tie the knots for their life !
