PRINCE HATIM & THE ANGEL

 In the main town of Persia lived King Melek and ruled the princely state of Rawadid . King Melek was know for his magical and preternatural things in his palace . He had a mystical time machine which had astounded a lot of people and other dynasties . But the Time Machine was never been used but people believed the magics of King Melek and they had to believe in his time machine too.He also had revival syrup which would give a second life to someone who is dead , but can only be used once forever and this was never used till then . These two things in the king's palace were famous all over the nation besides his magical stuff . King Melek was a consummate king and always cared for his subjects and the people . But at times he used to be selfish and would cost others for the happiness of his own son , Prince Hatim.

Hatim was also a generous prince and was an extreme master of a lot of things . In his young age itself he was ready to be the king of Rawadid . He was immensely good looking and skillful at his chores. There was not even a single flaw to be pointed out at Hatim and he was an ideal king on the future . Prince Hatim was adventurous , brave and had an experimental nature. He always wanted to explore new things and learn them so as to become more and more skillful .He had an additional love for gem stones and had an amazing collection of gems . From those gems he always used to keep a special Ruby with him , even when asleep , which was gifted to him by his Late Mother . He was told by King Melek that whenever he would separate himself from the Ruby , he would no more stay flawless and may cost his life too . As he always kept the Ruby with him he used to feel the pride of never being at fault .Also King Melek had told Hatim to stay away from the time machine or else he would be at difficulty . But , this caused curiosity in mind of young Hatim and he had decided to at least once try the time machine whenever it would be possible .One night , Prince Hatim was feeling uneasy while sleeping and couldn't sleep until midnight . Later he realised that his partially full stomach was making him feel strained . He decided to go to the kitchen and have little nuts and some fruits . He went to the royal kitchen and as soon as he opened the door of the kitchen he could see a bright silhouette of a young little girl who felt helpless and needed something . He approached her , cleared his throat and uttered , "Hey little girl  . Who are you ? Where are you from ? Why are you here ? Do you need food ? Are you hungry ? " The little girl turned and said , " Angels are never hungry " . Hatim was astounded to discover an angel . He wasn't scared but was in dilemma whether this was truth or was he dreaming . With a cracking but louder  voice Hatim asked , "Why are you here ?" She replied , " I'm Parisa , enjoying my life after death !" Now the prince became little comfortable as he found her harmless and courteous . He went a bit closer and said , " Oh ! Parisa... Hmm ... I see ... Life after death ? Okay ! But you said you are enjoying your life after death then why do you appear dejected and helpless ?". "The fact is that I was died so ; so I had to carry the same anatomy in my life after death " , replied Parisa .Prince Hatim was now curious to know more about her . He asked her , " What ? A sorrowful and helpless death ? How ? I mean what happened ? " . However the prince also felt uneasy due to his hunger as that too increased with his excitement to know the tale of the girl . He looked here and there in search of some nuts but his excitement superimposed his hunger and he sat beside Parisa on the same  window but on the sitting area . Parisa started narrating her story -"It was the time when King Cyrus of Berdia Dynasty attacked Rawadid Dynasty multiple times , around 400 years back . My father was a shepherd and we were leading a miserable life in poverty when probably your great grandfather was ruling us . We used to find our two times meal with so difficulty that we didn't even know the other luxuries of life. In the first attack , my father lost all our cattles and we became more helpless as we were out of basics too . In the second attack my dad , mom and my younger sibling was killed by bombshells and were burnt alive.  I was too frightened as I had seen all the war scenes with my young eyes and it had broken my heart into pieces . I was alive by the mercy of god . Very few people were alive by then and most of them were in substandard condition. There was very very little food for the people who were alive .By god's grace I was well with my health and least wounded . Inspite of all this I had to starve for food for a several number of days .Then I had to walk through all destructed lands and find a sound place to live , once the war was over . I found a six storey building which stood strong inspite of the war attacks . I found it to be a safe place as it was empty as people had escaped during the wars . I decided to take shelter in a room on the first floor itself so that I could easily escape in case of emergency. The room was totally destroyed internally though there were a lot of things lying down in heaps . My hunger was at peak and I felt the need of finding something to eat."

"Oh yaa , even my hunger is at peak" , interrupted Hatim in a very helpless voice . Hatim again , "Then ! Then ! What happened ?" 

Parisa continues , "In the room , it was dark and I could hardly see that night when my stomach was aching relentlessly due to hunger . I showed courage and started to displace and filter out the things from the heap until I found something to eat .Luckily , I found a packet of Irani Dates after a long quest."

"Dates ! Wow ! That too Irani ! I feel like eating them now" , Hatim interrupted again . "Go have something first then we will continue" , said Parisa in a caring tone . Hatim replies , " No , You continue , my hunger could wait." 

Parisa nods her head and continues , "The outer packet of the dates was shabby but the fruits inside were untained. As soon I could open the packet , the aroma of the Irani Dates unfurled all around . I was just to put the dates in my mouth but an inhuman person stepped in with sword and snatched all the dates from me and ate all of them . He took the dates and no sooner I ran away as I thought that was the danger I was expecting . How brutal that mortal was ! Then I ran and took shelter in a mosque nearby for that night and the next morning I  returned there with expectations that the person must have left some dates . But sadly there were nothing but some seeds and a .... " 

"What he didn't leave even a single piece of date ? How brutal ! " said Hatim in agitation . "Then ? " 

Parisa in a very cracking low voice as if she would cry now said , " And that was last night  of my life ".

Hatim rubbed the goosebumps on his hand and told firmly to Parisa , " It was so inhuman . I would not leave that guy . I promise you Parisa , I would bring that person alive into your feet . "

With an confusing expression Parisa replied , " But it was way back , it is history now ! He ain't alive today ! " .

In a very revolting tone and fierce expression but with full confidence Hatim said , " I would bring him back , from then . My father has a time machine . I would get him back Parisa and you just , you just give any retribution you feel right for that inhuman".

 "Oh Prince ! You are so valiant and even-handed . You do so much for me , dear Hatim" , said Parisa in loving voice. "Come with me Parisa, let's find the responsible". Parisa nodded her head and said , "Angels are not allowed to time travel , that's the protocol of the almighty". 

Hatim said , "Give me the details of the then dynasty. I will go all alone to get that culprit here." With full  enthusiasm , Hatim shouts " Am I brave ?" And with the same enthusiasm , Parisa reverted , " Victory to the Prince ! "

Hatim took all the details of the then Rawadid dynasty from Parisa in order to reach the desired place where she took shelter . Forgetting the words of King Melek , Hatim uses the time machine even when he had no confidence as it was the first time he was using it. But yes ! The time machine worked and Hatim reached the desired destination , around 400 years back when Rawadid was attacked by King Cyrus . By a good fortune , Hatim also found the six storey strong building where Parisa had taken shelter . He decided to enter the building and for his safety he took out his sword and covered his face with a muslin cloth so as to look like an actual warrior . He entered the first floor and his stomach starting aching very badly in hunger . Now that was the high time and he actually needed something to eat or else he would see a day like Parisa did. Within a fraction of second , Hatim started getting smell of Irani Dates and he couldn't resist himself . He entered a room , saw a poor girl with dates , snatched those dates and ate them all . That poor little girl ran away in haste although Hatim tried to stop her. But yes , Hatun enjoyed all the dates and went on to search for Parisa. But ultimately he could nowhere find Parisa . With a sheer disappointment , Hatim returned back to Parisa . 

Hatim said , "I apologize Parisa , the enemy was much stronger than your Prince. I am sorry " . 

Until then Hatim noticed that his Ruby which always used to be with him is no more with him . He assumed that , it may have fallen in the building while he had sat down to eat dates. Hatim exclaimed , " Oh my almighty ! Where is my dear Ruby which is like my own body part . I lost it (cries)". 

Parisa questions herself , "Ruby?" 

Parisa then removed something from her pocket and opened her closed fist in front of the Prince and asked Hatim , " Is it the same Ruby which you're talking about ?" .

Seeing the Ruby with Parisa , Hatim started sweating with ball in his stomach . He then remembered his father , King Melek's words that using the time machine and letting the Ruby apart may bring difficulties for him . 

The very next second , Hatim falls down at Parisa's feet and said , " Parisa (cries) , I am your culprit ! I ate your dates . Punish me. Take this sword and cut my neck." 

Parisa clearly  understood everything now and she said to Hatim , "Oh dear Prince ! Your intentions were pure. Your hunger was the real culprit and it was me because of whom your used the time machine. Don't blame yourself . Get up . I won't punish you. I forgive you my dear Prince !" 

"No don't forgive me ; (thinks a while) Do one thing ... Marry me and that's how you would get your justice". 

Parisa smiled and said in her sweet voice , "Angels don't marry humans !" . Hatim gave a deep thought to this and after a while he blurted , "Yes ! We have a solution for this too . The revival syrup which my dad has . You will be back to your life if you have it." Hatim softly enters King Melek's room and gets the bottle of the syrup . Hatim says , " Have this ! You'll be back to your life . Trusting the Prince , Parisa drinks the whole of the syrup with excitement of getting back her life . As soon as she drinks the syrup , she turns out into an extremely beautiful young girl who appeared like a princess . Hatim was flabbergasted to see her turned into life , that too with such a beauty. With utter cheeriness Hatim hugged Parisa and said , " You're the girl I was waiting for . What a beauty ! Mashallah !" 

The next morning Prince Hatim narrated all the happening to his father , King Melek . King Melek was also astound to hear the tale but was contented with the ending . He happily declared Parisa as the Princess of the Rawadid dynasty and engaged both of them (Hakim and Parisa) . 

The love story of Hakim and Parisa spread out wider than the mystical Palace of King Melek. Such an thrilling yet delightful love story they had !
